Programs : Family, Marriage, and Democracy

The Family, Marriage, and Democracy Program.

The Family, Marriage and Democracy Program was created in light of contemporary efforts to remove from public deliberation laws and policy matters relating to marriage and the family, and place them in the (exclusive) control of the judicial branch. The Program supports scholarly research and teaching that enhance the public’s understanding of their role in this matter and of the crucial function that marriage and the family serve in fostering a society capable of democratic self-governance.
