The Religion and Civil Society Program

The Religion and Civil Society Program studies and disseminates empirical evidence of the historical and contemporary role of religion in America. The Religion and Civil Society Program seeks to examine the ability of faith-based organizations to address social problems and the way in which religious beliefs, practices, and commitments promote beneficial social and economic outcomes. Dr. Byron Johnson is the head of this program.
